Well it is time to welcome folks to the methods and meanings of how we relate to the horses at Breezy Bluff Riding Academy in McLean IL.
We use a combination of Natural and Traditional horsetraining at our riding school. We use natrual horsemanship in most applications but will if needed, use stonger methods or equipment.
Here you can see one of our adult riders on a barn horse at a local horse show. In the back ground are 2 youth riders on farm horsese too
Our basic philosphy in horse handling is:
Make it easy and comfortable for the horse to find the correct actions and harder and uncomfortable for him to choose the wrong actions. We know there are 3 basic things that
affect your horse's actions in life. Horses are lazy so seek out the easiest least labor causing actions. Horses are always hungry so they can be motivated by food and treats. Horses like to be comfortable so will seek comfort in all situations.
These things motivate and modle our training methods at Breezy Bluff and allow us to choose the best means by which we can train and love our equine buddies
